June 10, 2002 NJContractor.com is pleased to announce the much-anticipated launch of their Free New Jersey Contractor Directory website.  After nearly three years of development, and two applications to the USPTO(United State’s Patent Trade Office), NJContractor.com has reached it’s quest to be the most user-friendly search directory on the Internet.  NJContractor.com boasts an enormous database of more than 37,000 contractors and construction service professionals allowing New Jersey residents to quickly search for a local contractor.  In just three mouse clicks, NJContractor.com yields a customized results page in under 0.75 seconds, based upon the users selected options.

What began as a time-consuming search for his own local contractor nearly four years ago has now become a full-time passion for the 27 year-old site founder Michael Melham. 

 At that time, he became increasing frustrated with the old fashion, out-dated phone book listings as well as the complicated website directories these telephone giants have launched.  

“Our goal is simple, to provide a free, user friendly website for New Jersey residents to quickly find a local contractor” said Melham.

 “I believe this is a win-win for everyone involved” said Melham,  “New Jersey residents can quickly search for contractor online, while New Jersey contractors are given a free listing in the directory.”  For many of the 37,000 contractors listed in the online directory this is there first experience with online advertising.   NJContractor.com believes it provides a public service not only to New Jersey residents but to New Jersey contractors as well.
